I got these for my husband (a while ago) and finally asked him how they worked out. He's at an age where he needs to protect his prostate. He said they helped speed up some of the slow urination issues he has and didn't have any adverse side effects. He's tried several brands, and all have been good, but I know he's purchased this one again, as they are some of the least expensive ones available.

Saw palmetto, derived from a type of palm, has been used for a long time for men's urinary health. The active compounds in saw palmetto are believed to help block the activity of 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Because DHT is linked to both hair loss and enlarged prostate, or benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), it's used to address both conditions. Some studies suggest it's effective, while others have shown it's no more effective than a placebo. Some studies have shown it can be more effective when combined with beta sitosterol (another plant extract), or with selenium.

Because saw palmetto is reasonably priced and rarely causes side effects, I've used it for BPH, together with both selenium and beta sitosterol, and it seems to have been effective for me. This brand is well-priced and easy to take.

I'm not familiar with the Nature's Lab brand but their saw palmetto supplement works as well as any name brand Saw Palmetto supplement that I've used. Because I am on a large number of prescription drugs to treat depression and have been for more than 30 years I need to keep my OTC supplement use to the bare minimum. People generally think of OTC supplements as being safe since you can pick them up off the drug store shelf or in a vitamin shop but they can interact with prescription medications and each other and some can have toxic side-effects in high doses.

I take a daily Saw Palmetto supplement because I know exactly what it does and also know from personal experience that it has a noticeable beneficial effect. Saw Palmetto helps with urination flow which starts to become an issue in men when they hit 40 as their prostate glands inevitably begin to grow. I can definitely say from personal experience that Saw Palmetto works for that specific purpose although a man in his senior years may need a more potent prescription drug. Saw Palmetto is also one of the very few OTC supplements that has been proven to work in independent clinical trials not paid for by the supplement industry.

There is one caveat to taking Saw Palmetto--you don't want to exceed the recommended dose on the bottle and shouldn't purchase any Saw Palmetto Supplement that provides an abnormally high dose. Too much saw palmetto taken daily can artificially lower the blood's PSA level which is the marker that doctors look for as a possible early warning sign of prostate cancer. Saw Palmetto does not prevent prostate cancer so taking enough to lower your PSA levels isn't a good idea. Saw Palmetto also does nothing to actually shrink an enlarged prostate.

Nature's Lab does not contain independent lab certification from USP or NSF but unless you're willing to pay a premium price you won't see their logos on a supplement label. Without the seal from either of those labs, you need to go on faith that the ingredients and dosage listed on the bottle are accurate which is why some people stick to well-known brands and nobody should purchase their nutritional supplements in a dollar store.

In its favor, Nature's Lab lists no ingredients that shouldn't be there--450mg of Saw Palmetto as well as non-active ingredients gelatin (to make the capsule), and rice flour, rice husks, and rice extract which are harmless filler unless you happen to have a rice allergy. There is a warning that this supplement is manufactured in a facility that also processes soy, egg, milk, fish, shellfish, nuts, and sesame. That type of disclaimer is common so people with allergies should already be very familiar with it.

You get a three-month supply of Saw Palmetto for ten dollars which is very cheap. For what it's worth when deciding whether or not to trust the Nature's Lab brand their products are not sold in drug store chains but are sold at two very well-known brick-and-mortar discount department store chains one of which offers lower prices when you purchase a yearly membership.

The bottom line here is that Nature's Lab Saw Palmetto Supplement works as well as the bigger name brands and it's very cheap.

After a little research on this product, I�m looking forward for my husband to try it. He�s frequent nightly run to the bathroom cause problem and wake up tired.

The prostate problem runs in my family. And I am taking this supplement as a preventative measure. I can�t be certain if this is directly related. But after taking it for 2 weeks everyday, I noticed that my urine flow is stronger.

It's recommended supplement, provided in easy to swallow capsules, from a company that built their name on providing quality. The price is great, and this 90 count bottle will last you 3 months.
So far no side effects, will update over time if any noticable changes (hopefully positive changes)

I like that it has clean ingredients. No gmo's and no magnesium stearate. Have used other brands but I think these work much better than the other brand I was using. Not quite sure why but studies have shown that you need to take at least 320mg to have a health benefit and this has 450mg. For men's health you can't beat saw palmetto.

So I got it just to take randomly for general health as a �pre-emptive strike� against developing problems.

After �activities and injuries� I think I may be noticing it �boost the affects� of Turmeric with inflammation �pain/aggravation�.

Everything with my body is feeling fine and �smooth� with taking this and some other things.

So IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT THIS AGGRAVATING YOUR SYSTEM/BODY. FOR ME THEY CAUSE NO AGGRAVATION AND MAYBE SOME BENEFIT AFTER TAKING FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

There's an old saying which mentions an ounce of prevention, and that's exactly what I had in mind when I saw the Nature's Lab 450mg Saw Palmetto supplement.

Knowing about the issues that men face later in life concerning the prostate, caused me to take action well before any issues develop. Since Nature's Lab already has a good reputation, it was heartening to know that this supplement is not only manufactured in the US, but is also non-GMO and gluten free.

The capsules were easy to swallow and actually had a pleasant scent to them. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product, and am glad to add it to my healthcare kit.

This review is for Nature's Lab Saw Palmetto 450mg - 90 Capsules. This is my first time taking saw palmetto and I like it. I chose this one because I�m already taking ACV from this company and it seems very reputable. The pills are easy to swallow and I only have to take one daily (each being 450mg) so this will last me a full 90 days. My bottle came well sealed for safety and freshness and has a best by date of 12/2024 so I have plenty of time to finish it up. It should become more evident to me later how beneficial it really is from taking this supplement. Overall, I�m very pleased with it and hope to gain some benefit from taking saw palmetto. It seems to be of high quality, is easy to swallow, and the quantity is on par with other supplements I�m taking. For now, I�d give it a 5.0/5.0 - 04/13/2023.

I have been taking saw palmetto for years now. So, I know the difference between one brand and another. Some use saw palmetto berries where you have to take two tablets per day. But Nature's Lab uses actual saw palmetto so you only need to take one tablet per day. Obviously, it's more concentrated. It does help with your prostrate as long as you use it daily. But what a lot of people don't realize is, is that it's also great for people with thinning hair or people that are losing hair. It stopped me from losing hair whenever I took a shower. My hair is getting thicker everyday. But since saw palmetto is only one of 7 different supplements that I take on a daily basis, it could also be the combination of all these supplements that is making a difference. I just don't know. But saw palmetto should be included in everyone's diet on a daily basis in order to live a normal healthy life.

Saw Palmetto might be a good supplement for men reaching older ages. As it naturally helps boost testosterone. Many websites show men primarily use it for urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate and hair loss. However, after more research, it may take 4 to 6 weeks to kick in.

These are pretty small and easy to take capsules. I take saw palmetto mainly for hair growth benefits (I'm not 100% sure it *really* works for that, but I'm not bald yet so maybe it's helping!). Hoping my positive thoughts lead to a positive outcome and all that... I like that these are made in the USA and have undergone extra quality testing too. I've never had any issues with taking it by other brands in the past, and am assuming these will be the same! Will update if there are any problems but so far so good!

Gotten onto this stuff after I had a bad UTI that could have been a prostrate infection. It helped a lot to clear things up after I nuked it with UT vibrance D-Mannose supplement. Been keeping it in my routine since and it continues to help. This is a decent bottle of it. Pill size about average. 90 count is good as others are less for sure. No issues, recommended!

my husband finds that this helps cleanses his bladder well. he doesnt have to worry about getting stones especially when he needs a lot of workout proteins for better working out performance. he just feels better overall adding this as a cleanse/antioxidant for his body.

This Nature's Lab Saw Palmetto is a good value. The bottle contains 90 pills and the serving size is only 1 pill a day which is great. These pills are easy to swallow and they have been somewhat helpful in alleviating my husband's prostate issues.

There is no doubt that this is a quality product. I take Saw Palmetto for prostate health at a dose of 900mg daily (two capsules). This bottle will last me a month and a half while my regular brand lasts twice as long for the same price. Compared side by side, I'm satisfied with both brands in terms of quality. These capsules are easy to swallow and I've no issues/side effects taking them. So for me the only issue would be value for the cost

Like that this is made in the USA, as that hopefully gives you some assurance of product quality.
Lots of literature on Saw Palmetto helping promote prostrate health. Most products are formulated with other ingredients, so was disappointed that this only had saw palmetto. But at least taking this will give me a higher boost of saw palmetto.
I don't do well on pills, so I open the capsule and add it to my other powder supplements.
