Seasons are changing. Cold, dry weather can leave skin fighting to stay moisturized. Exfoliate and brighten dull skin with this DIY Calming Sugar Scrub featuring Rosemary and tea leaves. We use Rosemary Essential Oil in this easy-to-make recipe to promote circulation and ease stress, while chamomile tea leaves provide antioxidant properties to skin while promoting relaxation.
What You'll Need
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 1 cup coconut oil
• 10 drops Paradise Springs Rosemary Oil
• 3 bags chamomile tea
Place the brown sugar in a large glass bowl. We prefer brown sugar because it has a larger, less refined grainy texture, making it ideal for exfoliating dry skin.
Open the tea bags and place the loose leaves into the bowl with the sugar. Add 10 drops Paradise Springs Rosemary Oil and stir gently with a spoon.
Slowly add the coconut oil to the bowl and continue mixing the scrub. Mix until incorporated, making sure to cover the sugar with oil until no dry sugar remains. The mixture should have a medium consistency with no excess liquid.
Usage & Storage
To use, wet skin with warm water and gently apply scrub in a circular motion. Rinse after use, making sure to let scrub sit for a few minutes for extra hydration. Because over-exfoliating can lead to irritation, incorporate this calming sugar scrub into your self-care routine no more than three times per week. Store in an air-tight glass container in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
