What is CoQ10?

The body's spark plug to its engine

Coenzyme Q10, also known as Ubiquinone, is an essential nutrient used for mitochondrial function. It is found throughout the human body, though it is mostly concentrated in energy-rich regions such as the heart, lungs, liver, kidney and pancreas.* Its primary biochemical action is to be a co-factor as a lipid-soluble carrier in the electron-transport chain (ETC).* ETC is a group of proteins that transfers electrons through a cell membrane to create a proton gradient that drives ATP production.* ATP is the largest source of energy in the human body. It is the only molecule able to provide energy for muscle fibers that power muscle contractions.* The human body can synthesize this coenzyme, however, as we age CoQ10 production decreases at a rate of 20% for every decade after the age of 21.* CoQ10 is a key antioxidant as it located in proximity to unsaturated lipid chains and is able to act as a primary scavenger of free radicals.*

  • Powerful Antioxidant*
  • Supports Heart Health*
  • Supports Brain Health*
  • Supports Anti-Aging*

What is Alpha Lipoic Acid?

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), also known as thioctic acid, has a primary function of being a co-factor enzyme with the role of turning nutrients into energy through two primary methods: the glycine cleavage system and the BCKDC complex.* The purpose of these two processes is to turn carbohydrates into energy. Unbound lipoic acid obtained through supplements has powerful antioxidant capabilities, including the ability to reduce the oxidized forms of CoQ10, vitamin C and glutathione.* It also has the ability to function in both water and fat environments in the human body*.

Key Benefits

  • Powerful Antioxidant*
  • Supports Cellular Energy*
  • Supports Glucose Metabolism*
  • Works in conjunction with CoQ10*

What is Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL?

L-Carnitine is an important chemical similar to the amino acid carnitine. It plays a key role in increasing mitochondrial efficiency by transferring long chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for fat breakdown and energy generation, and also in maintaining homeostasis for coenzyme A (CoA).* Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier to efficiently support cognitive health.* ALCAR also plays a role as an antioxidant as it can accumulate toxic metabolites (especially organic acids).*

  • Supports Cognitive Function*
  • Supports Muscular Endurance*
  • Acts as a Powerful Antioxidant*

"Great Product For Brain Clarity And Concentration" - Vicki

"Brought My Cholestoral to the Normal Range" - Dawn

"I've been taking CoQ10+Alpha Lipoic Acid+Acetyl L-Carnitine HCI-60 Capsules with Natures Lab Turmeric supplement for several year. Brought my cholesterol to the normal range and haven't had any changes since. It's nice to have Nature's Lab where you can depend on their quality."

"Great For Nerve Pain" - Susan

"I have nagging nerve pain in my hip and back at times, and also viral issues which aggravate that at times. I have found the one thing that works amazingly well is ALA and L Carntine. I had tried another brand that was stronger and for days I suffered with insane anxiety, night sweats, panic, that I couldn’t pin point. Sure enough I looked it up online and taking higher doses can cause that. This is just the right dose for me to avoid that unpleasantness and I still have the benefits. This really helps to alleviate nerve pain and no nausea or tummy issues."

Privately Owned, Independent Company

Nature's Lab was founded by Wayne Gorsek in 2011. Wayne became interested in nutrition when his grandparents were diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. This event served as a catalyst that motivated Wayne to spend countless hours in medical school libaries devoting himself to learning everything he could about health, nutrition and natural ways to prevent and counteract various health concerns. With this passion, he founded Vitacost in 1994 with the goal of developing quality dietary supplements. After 15 years of users reaping the benefits from the nutritional supplements Vitacost provided, Wayne retired when the company took a turn in 2009 after their NASDAQ IPO. Vitacost was bought by Kroger in 2014. Wayne founded Nature's Lab to provide users with the highest quality supplements on the market, backed by the latest science and superior standards.

Want to Hear About the Latest Probiotic for Cardiovascular Health?

What is a Probiotic?

When we think about probiotics, our initial thoughts often lead us to think of gut health. However, probiotics can benefit several biological functions. Studies have shown that with the right Novel Probiotics, you can support cholesterol levels by maintaining proper LDL/HDL ratio (commonly known as cholesterol levels).* The heart-supporting probiotic named Lactobacillus Plantarum probiotic (L. plantarum) can survive under harsh gastrointestinal tract conditions and supports production of bile salt hydrolase (BSH).* BSH is an enzyme responsible for de-conjunction of bile salts by bacteria, which may lead to the lowering of cholesterol and alterations in energy homeostasis.*
