Six Daily Multivitamin: Nutrition From A to Z

Our Six Daily Advanced Multivitamin is a product we are immensely proud of here at Nature’s Lab. We wanted to create an all-in-one supplement that addressed everything from immunity to cognitive function, mood to inflammatory health, vision health, heart health, healthy aging, digestive health, and so much more. The result was Six Daily. In this blog we explain each ingredient in Six Daily and how it benefits your wellness.*

The Essential Vitamins

Six Daily Advanced Multivitamin 180ct - 30 day Supply

Vitamin A:

An essential fat-soluble vitamin that is required for several health processes including immune health and fetal development. Vitamin A is crucial for supporting vision health as well as supporting regular cell turnover for healthy-looking skin.*

Vitamin C:

Vitamin C is an antioxidant molecule with countless benefits for the body. Vitamin C increases the absorption of other essential nutrients such as iron and calcium and can regenerate vitamin E.* It helps reduce damaging oxidation from free radicals by stopping these destructive chain reactions in their tracks.* Vitamin C also supports the immune system which helps fight off attacks from outside pathogens.*

Vitamin D:

The body naturally synthesizes vitamin D when exposed to sunlight; however, because the body needs a substantial amount of this essential vitamin, supplementation is often recommended. Six Daily contains the effective dosage level of 125 mcg (5,000 IUs) of bioavailable vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). Vitamin D3 is preferred to Vitamin D2 because it is similar to the form of vitamin D3 created during sun exposure.*

Vitamin E:

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that aids in circulation, helping blood flow freely.* Because it is an antioxidant it can quench free radicals.* Being deficient in vitamin E can lead to nerve-related pain.

Vitamin K:

Vitamin K is essential to healthy blood clotting and also affects how well the body can utilize calcium.* We’ve included vitamin K-1 and vitamin K-2 in Six Daily for maximum benefit of vitamin K’s properties.

Thiamin (Vitamin B1)

Vitamin B1, or thiamin, is an essential nutrient that is water-soluble. We can’t store this vitamin in our bodies, so it must be replaced regularly.* It is a key vitamin for healthy nerve function and heart health.*

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is required for the breakdown of food into ATP (adenosine triphosphate) energy.* This water-soluble vitamin has so many uses it would be impossible to list them all here. Among its most critical jobs are supporting eye, liver, nerve and skin health.*

Niacin (Vitamin B3)

Niacin supports many essential chemical reactions within the body.* It is utilized to create nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). NAD is a coenzyme used to create energy fuel for our muscles. Niacin, like other B vitamins, supports healthy nerve and cognitive function and contributes to a positive mood.*

Vitamin B6

In Six Daily, vitamin B6 is present in the form of pyridoxine HCI and pyridoxal-5-phosphate. Some neurotransmitters within the brain require vitamin B6 in order to be produced.* Vitamin B6 is known for its soothing effect on the mind, and is often included in mood or sleep supplements to promote relaxation.*

Folate

We often think of folate supplementation for fetal health and development, but it also serves other functions within the body such as contributing to red blood cell formation and healthy blood pressure levels (within normal limits).* Six Daily includes 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), a form of folate that’s more easily absorbed by the body.*

Vitamin B12

Six Daily includes a bioavailable form of vitamin B12 called methylcobalamin. Vitamin B12 is indispensable in red blood cell formation and maintaining the health of nerve cells. Vitamin B12 can impart a feeling of increased energy due to its effect on mitochondria as well as red blood cells that carry oxygen throughout the body.* The methylcobalamin form of vitamin B12 can pass directly into the brain where it promotes serotonin creation and other cognitive health benefits.*

Biotin (Vitamin H)

Biotin supports the creation of keratin protein.* Keratin makes up nails and hair plus it is also found in the skin layers.

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)

Six Daily uses pantothenic acid in the form of D-calcium pantothenate and pantethine. Like other B vitamins it is influential in nerve health and keeping red blood cells healthy.*

Nuts and fruits with magnesium on a blue wood background

Iodine

Six Daily uses iodide in the form of potassium iodide. Iodine can’t be produced in our bodies so we must get it from outside sources. Without it, the thyroid gland cannot function properly and create adequate amounts of thyroid hormone.*

Magnesium

This nutrient is used in the body in large amounts for countless reactions needed to sustain life including supporting electrolyte balance.* Magnesium deficiency is common in Westernized diets. It is estimated that nearly half of Americans are likely deficient in magnesium. Six Daily provides 405 mg of magnesium oxide and magnesium aspartate combined per serving.

Zinc

Zinc is another essential mineral that is required for immune health and converting food into usable energy.* Zinc cannot be created in the body or stored. Having an adequate daily intake of zinc is needed for optimal wellness. Six Daily uses three forms of zinc in its formula; zinc oxide, zinc carnosine and L-OptiZinc®. L-OptiZinc® has a high absorption rate because it pairs zinc with the amino acid L-methionine for enhanced bioavailability.*

Selenium

Selenium is a trace mineral that acts as an antioxidant. It reduces inflammation and supports production of the body’s main antioxidant, glutathione.* Six Daily uses Selenium SeLECT®, a form of selenium bonded to an amino acid to increase its absorption within the digestive system.*

Chromium

Chromium is a trace mineral that plays a role in glucose metabolism.* It also promotes healthy cholesterol levels (already within normal range).* Six Daily features the bioavailable branded ingredient ChromeMate®. ChromeMate® uses niacin-bound chromium for increased uptake.*

Molybdenum

Molybdenum isn’t as well known, however it is a key mineral that supports detoxification.* Molybdenum helps activate several different enzymes that remove toxins such as sulfites from our system.*

Boron

The trace mineral boron is a substance that can impact how well we absorb and utilize nutrients like magnesium, vitamin D, calcium and others. Boron helps in properly metabolizing testosterone and estrogen hormones in men and women.* Boron also has antioxidant properties that can help defend against damage from free radicals.*

Alpha Lipoic Acid, Acetyl-L-Carnitine and CoQ10

Senior group outdoors, hiking in forest

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Acetyl-L-Carnitine

Acetyl-l-carnitine is a compound made from an amino acid. It enhances how effectively we use fat for fuel which can result in improved energy and fat burning.* Acetyl-l-carnitine passes the blood-brain barrier and may also elevate mood.*

Coenzyme Q10

One of the elite features of Six Daily is its generous dosage amount of 100 mg of CoQ10. Most multivitamins completely overlook this heart-healthy antioxidant. CoQ10 is used in creating ATP muscle fuel and also reduces free radicals that damage tissues.*

A Multivitamin with Milk Thistle

Milk thistle contains silymarins that support liver health and glutathione levels.* Six Daily includes 300 mg of milk thistle extract that is standardized to 80% silymarin.
