Orders, Shipping, and Returns

We recommend placing an order online through www.natureslab.com. Placing the order yourself ensures accuracy and keeps your payment information secure. We also recommend creating an account so that you can view past orders, save items to your cart, and store shipping addresses for easier checkout. If you need help placing an order or have questions about the checkout process, our Customer Service agents are available at (800) 211-4188 — please have your email address ready.

We recommend using an email address to complete your order. Emails are sent for order confirmations, orders shipped (with tracking), etc. If you checkout from a mobile device (aka smart phone), you'll have the option to use your mobile phone number instead.

If you do not have an email address, you can create one for free using any platform such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. An alternate option is to use your phone number in email address format, such as number@txt.att.net, to receive emails as SMS/text messages (click here to learn more). We recommend you create an email address.

*Nature's Lab will not send you marketing emails without your permission or sell your email address to a third party.

*Nature's Lab does not endorse or recommend specific email providers.

Orders ship via FedEx or USPS in most cases. FedEx OneRate and USPS First Class Mail and USPS Priority Mail allow us to ship promptly and keep our shipping rates low for consumers. Ship method is determined by order size, weight, and other factors (such as delivery address). All domestic orders in the contiguous United States ship within 24 hours. We offer alternate priority methods such as FedEx Three-Day and Two-Day shipping for an additional fee.

After packages are handed over to the carrier (FedEx, USPS), the carrier controls the delivery. Please contact the carrier directly with questions about progress or delivery status. Expedited methods ship on business days, not including weekends and holidays. Additional charges may apply to the purchaser if the delivery address is incorrect, or if the package needs to be forwarded to a different location.

Note: Rural areas may take additional time to receive shipments. If you have a gate on your property or if you require a signature for delivery, your package may be returned to DrVita by the carrier - additional charges to re-ship may apply.

Visit our Shipping page for more details.

We attempt to ship same-day whenever possible. Orders placed during weekends or holidays are processed the following business day - our goal is to ship all orders within 24 hours, excluding special order and out of stock products. Nature's Lab also ships orders when 100% complete (partial orders do not ship). Delivery is available Monday - Friday, and delivery time is approximately 3 to 7 business days for standard shipping.

Below are links to several of our commonly used carriers for shipments. Note that within your confirmation email, you can click on the direct link to the tracking number for your order. The following are third-party websites, so the links are subject to change and any data entered or transmitted is outside of the DrVita, Inc. network.

Product Questions

Most capsules are hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), also known as hypromellose. The capsules are manufactured using non-animal, vegetarian-based ingredients. Some ingredients on certain products cannot be manufactured effectively using vegetarian capsules - in such instances, we use a gelatin capsule (primarily bovine- or porcine-sourced).

Capsule size varies depending on the formula, serving size, and other factors. We use anything from 000, 00E, 00, 0E, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. For reference, capsule size 000 holds ~ 1,000mg, 00 holds ~ 735mg, 1 holds ~ 400mg, and 3 holds ~ 200mg.

Click here to view an image comparison of capsule sizes.

Yes, the majority of our products in capsule form are safe to open and consume the powder. Mix the contents with food or a shake. Avoid opening anything with an enteric coating, delayed-release capsules or tablets, and soft gels.

No, we do not recommend ingesting Paradise Springs essential oils. Paradise Springs essential oils are 100% pure, which means they are not diluted in any way. Even the Paradise Springs blends are made of 100% pure essential oils.

Essential oils are highly concentrated and, therefore, quite potent. These oils are intended to be used in small amounts (a few drops at a time), and we always recommend diluting them in a carrier oil, water, lotion, or some other form of carrier for topical use. Most of our essential oils come with regulator caps or droppers to help you use them safely. Please read all of the warnings on essential oil product pages and/or product labels before using.

If you experience an issue due to misuse, please call Poison Control at (800) 222-1222 (or online) or call 911. We love our essential oils and know they help consumers, however, essential oils can be dangerous (particularly for children) if used incorrectly.

Wildcrafted means that the plants from which the oils are extracted are harvested from their natural, or “wild” habitat. This process means there are never any unwanted chemicals such as herbicides or pesticides introduced into the plant’s growing life cycle. Care is taken to only remove the necessary plants, flowers, or branches, so that plenty remain to continue supply.

Expiration Dates & Regulations

Yes, of course! Expiration dates on dietary supplements are optional - the FDA does not require expiration or shelf-life dating to be listed on products (click here to learn more). If manufacturers include expiration dating, proven/supported data must be used to determine the dating. This data is identified during stability testing performed by manufacturers such as DrVita, makers of Nature's Lab.

We use expiration dating to represent a guaranteed length of time that our products yield maximum potency per the active ingredients listed on the bottle. In other words, certain herbs and minerals will likely achieve the same results for many months (even years!) beyond the best by date. It is possible that the potency may decrease slightly, but we cannot validate by how much of a decrease (or over what length of time). Most manufacturers simply do not have this type of data available, so instead we state that certain products may slowly lose potency over time.

Our products do not become dangerous or harmful to consume as time passes.

Yes. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates dietary supplements (considered food). A common misconception of consumers is that supplements are not regulated and therefore manufacturers can make any claims they want regardless of what is factual. THIS IS FALSE.

Most of the misunderstanding stems from the confusion between dietary supplements (meant to supplement one's diet) and drugs (medication). Drugs are available by prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) and are subject to more stringent regulations due to the manufacturing of synthetic goods meant to cause a physiological effect when introduced into the body. Dietary supplements are defined as a subset of food and are regulated as food, including amino acids, botanicals, enzymes, herbs, minerals, vitamins, or any other biologically active ingredient that benefits the user in the achievement of health or therapeutic goals.

Nature's Lab follows the instructions established by the United States Government, specifically the Food and Drug Administration, or FDA. The FDA is responsible for ensuring that dietary supplements are safe and properly labeled in order to be sold to consumers in the US (click here to read What does FDA do?).

Dietary supplements are considered food and are thus regulated by the FDA (click here to read What does FDA regulate?). Refer to CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Title 21, detailed below. In short, Supplements are Part 111, Food is 110 and 117.

FDA Title 21 CFR Part 110 - Current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packing, or Holding Human Food

FDA Title 21 CFR Part 111 - Current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, Labeling, or Holding Operations for Dietary Supplements

FDA Title 21 CFR Part 117 - Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Foods

DSHEA is an acronym for the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994, Public Law 103-417, 103rd Congress. The purpose of the DSHEA Act is to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to establish standards with respect to dietary supplements, and for other purposes.
