softgels

A softgel is a delivery form consisting of a typically gelatin-based shell surrounding a liquid combination of active and inactive liquid ingredients. Softgels consist of gelatin (derived from animals, such as bovine gelatin), water, and typically glycerin or sorbitol, though some non-animal or vegetarian derivatives are becoming more commercially available utilizing starches or carrageenan-starch blends.

Softgels tend to be absorbed more rapidly than tablets and can be easily swallowed compared to tablets, making them a great option for liquid materials. However, at Nature’s Lab we like to utilize dry ingredients and capsule delivery whenever possible to keep our formulas down to the necessities that will best benefit your wellness regimen without additional, unnecessary additives.
