DIY Eucalyptus Shower Melts
Benefits of Eucalyptus
Originally native to Australia, Eucalyptus globulus is a native evergreen shrub. Its leaves (which are cultivated and steam distilled to make eucalyptus oil) naturally contain constituents known as 1,8-cineol and α-pinene. These constituents are used therapeutically in aromatherapy to boost energy, promote concentration, and even help clear sinuses, which can make this a great oil for changing seasons. These DIY shower melts are great for enjoying the benefits of eucalyptus oil through steam inhalation- perfect for the quick morning routine!
What You'll Need:
- 1 cup corn starch
- 2 Tbsp water
- Mixing bowl, spoon
- 10-15 drops Organic Eucalyptus Oil
- Silicone molds
To Make
- Combine the Organic Eucalyptus Oil and corn starch in a bowl, mixing well.
- Add 2 Tbsp water. Mix until clumps begin to form, then slowly mix in more water until you have a smooth paste.
- Place the mixture in the molds, smooth, and freeze for one hour.
Use & Storage
To use, gently peel the mold off the melt. Place the melt on the floor of the shower in a shallow dish near the drain to keep your shower floor from getting slippery. Enjoy the aromatherapy benefits of invigorating Organic Eucalyptus Oil.
